Continue down the Royal Mile to Holyrood Palace, the official residence of the British monarch in Scotland. In the afternoon, visit the National Gallery of Scotland for a highlights tour with a gallery educator.     This morning, meet your guide for an excursion into the Scottish Borders. Explore the River Tweed, renowned for salmon fishing, and visit Walter Scott’s Abbotsford House, where you can view the memorabilia of the famed novelist. Tour Melrose, known for its woolen mills and the ruins of Melrose Abbey. Later, visit Traquair House, one of Scotland’s oldest inhabited houses. On the way back to Edinburgh, you may also visit Rosslyn Chapel, which is famous for its intricate carvings and is featured in "The Da Vinci Code."

Continue north to the Edradour Scotch whisky distillery, one of Scotland’s smallest, for a tasting of its single malts.     Today, explore Scotland’s landmarks with your driver. Drive along the River Ness to Loch Ness and visit the ruins of Urquhart Castle, overlooking the lake. You will have the opportunity to join a private cruise with sonar equipment to scan for the Loch Ness Monster if you please. Continue to Inverness, crossing Culloden Moor, where Bonnie Prince Charlie was defeated. On your return to Fort William, you may also take the gondola up Aonach Mor for stunning views of Ben Nevis and the surrounding mountains.

    This morning, depart your hotel for a tour with your private driver. Travel through Glencoe, known for the historic Campbell-McDonald massacre, and cross Rannoch Moor towards Crianlarich. Continue south to Loch Lomond, Britain’s largest inland lake, and follow its shoreline. Proceed east through the scenic Trossachs, the land of Rob Roy, before enjoying a private transfer to your resort hotel. Enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure.

Return to your hotel in the evening and spend the rest of the night at leisure.
