The Safari Collection’s Giraffe Manor has many distinguished guests – its resident herd of endangered Rothschild’s giraffes visit morning and evening, poking their long necks into the windows in the hope of a treat, before withdrawing to their forest sanctuary. Set on 12 acres of private land within 140 acres of indigenous forest in the Langata suburb of Nairobi, this boutique hotel is a historic manor house dating back to the 1930s, when European visitors first came to East Africa on safari. With its stately façade, elegant interior, verdant green gardens and sunny terraces, Giraffe Manor is one of a kind.
