Day 1
Day 1 – Lisbon
Upon your arrival in Portugal's capital city of Lisbon, enjoy a private transfer to your hotel where you will have the rest of the day free to unwind, settle into your hotel and explore the local neighborhood.
Day 2 – Lisbon
Today, discover the many facets of Lisbon with your private guide. Wander through its atmospheric streets, take in sweeping views from hilltop lookouts, ride one of the city's iconic yellow trams, and ascend aboard a historic funicular. Your exploration also includes a visit to the enchanting Park and National Palace of Pena in nearby Sintra, where a former monastery has been transformed into one of Portugal’s most celebrated landmarks, surrounded by magnificent gardens and forested parkland.
Day 3 – Lisbon
After breakfast, explore Lisbon’s rich history with your private driver and guide. Shaped by centuries of influence from the Phoenicians, Romans, Moors, and Portuguese, the city reveals its heritage through the winding streets of Alfama, the historic St. George Castle, and the elegant districts of downtown Lisbon and Chiado. You will also visit the National Tile Museum to discover Portugal’s celebrated tile-making tradition before taking part in a private tile-painting experience.
Day 4 – Lisbon - Coimbra - Porto
Today, enjoy a private transfer north to Porto, beautifully situated along the Douro River. En route, stop in the historic city of Coimbra, where a local guide will introduce you to its rich heritage, including the Chapel of São Miguel and the magnificent Baroque library of the university. Following your visit, continue to Porto and settle into your hotel in the heart of the historic district, overlooking the elegant Avenida dos Aliados.
Day 5 – Porto
Discover the many layers of Porto on a privately guided tour through its most distinctive neighborhoods and historic landmarks. Explore the fashionable districts of Boavista and Foz, wander the UNESCO-listed historic center, and visit architectural treasures including the Church of São Francisco and the Stock Exchange Palace. Cross the iconic Dom Luís I Bridge and visit renowned wine cellars, where you will gain insight into the heritage and craftsmanship behind Portugal’s world-famous port wine.
Day 6 – Porto - Douro Valley
Today, after breakfast, depart for the Douro Valley, one of Portugal’s most celebrated wine regions. Upon arrival, meet your private driver and guide for an exploration of the valley’s rich heritage and scenic landscapes. Visit Peso da Régua, the historic heart of one of the world’s first demarcated wine regions, before continuing to Vila Real to tour the elegant 18th-century Mateus Manor House. Following time to explore the historic center of Vila Real, continue to your hotel and settle into the tranquil beauty of the Douro Valley.
Day 7 – Douro Valley
Today, enjoy an immersive culinary experience at a traditional Douro Valley manor house. Hosted by the Viscountess herself, the experience begins with a tour of the estate’s olive groves, organic gardens, and beautiful grounds before a hands-on cooking class celebrating the region’s rich culinary and wine traditions. Afterwards, savor the dishes you have prepared over a leisurely lunch, served either in the elegant dining room or al fresco overlooking the countryside. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure.
Day 8 – Douro Valley
This morning meet with your private driver and guide and travel to the Quinta do Noval winery which is located in the Cima Corgo, just a few miles from the small town of Pinhão in the heart of the Douro Valley. It is renowned for producing some of the world's most recognized port wines and for pioneering the first stratified port wine bottle. After being welcomed to the estate, you will have the opportunity to explore the property and its cellar, where you will feel the weight of history in every corner, enjoying a wine tasting and a delicious lunch before returning to the hotel.
Day 9 – Douro Valley - Porto
Today, following a delicious breakfast, enjoy a private transfer back to Porto to spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 10 – Porto
Your amazing visit to Portugal comes to an end today. Enjoy a private transfer to the airport ahead of your return flight home.
