Upon arrival at Edinburgh airport, enjoy a private transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of your day at your own leisure.
Day 2 — Edinburgh
This morning, meet your local guide for a tour of Edinburgh via private vehicle. Start at Edinburgh Castle to see the 'Honours of Scotland,' the Scottish Crown Jewels, and enjoy panoramic views of the city. Continue down the Royal Mile to Holyrood Palace, the official residence of the British monarch in Scotland. In the afternoon, visit the National Gallery of Scotland for a highlights tour with a gallery educator. Then, enjoy a private transfer to Leith to board the former Royal Yacht Britannia for an early evening tour. This historic ship, built in Scotland, served the Royal Family on official voyages.
Day 3 — Edinburgh - The Scottish Borders - Edinburgh
This morning, meet your guide for an excursion into the Scottish Borders. Explore the River Tweed, renowned for salmon fishing, and visit Walter Scott’s Abbotsford House, where you can view the memorabilia of the famed novelist. Tour Melrose, known for its woolen mills and the ruins of Melrose Abbey. Later, visit Traquair House, one of Scotland’s oldest inhabited houses. On the way back to Edinburgh, you may also visit Rosslyn Chapel, which is famous for its intricate carvings and is featured in "The Da Vinci Code."
Day 4 — Edinburgh – Perth - Fort William
Today, your driver will take you on a journey into the Scottish Highlands. Start with a visit to Perth to explore Scone Palace, renowned for the medieval coronations of Scottish kings. Continue north to the Edradour Scotch whisky distillery, one of Scotland’s smallest, for a tasting of its single malts. Following this, enjoy a private transfer to Fort William, where you will enjoy a stay at Inverlochy Castle, one of Scotland’s finest country house hotels.
Day 5 — Fort William - Loch Ness – Fort William
Today, explore Scotland’s landmarks with your driver. Drive along the River Ness to Loch Ness and visit the ruins of Urquhart Castle, overlooking the lake. You will have the opportunity to join a private cruise with sonar equipment to scan for the Loch Ness Monster if you please. Continue to Inverness, crossing Culloden Moor, where Bonnie Prince Charlie was defeated. On your return to Fort William, you may also take the gondola up Aonach Mor for stunning views of Ben Nevis and the surrounding mountains.
Day 6 — Fort William - Isle of Skye – Fort William
Today, your driver will take you on an excursion to the Isle of Skye. Travel northwest through Glen Shiel to visit the picturesque Eilean Donan Castle on Loch Duich. Cross the bridge to Skye, where you can see Gaelic road signs and enjoy views of the Cuillin Hills. Visit the Clan Donald Centre to explore Gaelic heritage, and enjoy lunch at Kinloch Lodge, founded by renowned cookery writer Lady Claire MacDonald. Return to the mainland via ferry from Mallaig, and drive along the scenic ‘Road to the Isles’ to Fort William, passing the Glenfinnan Monument.
Day 7 — Fort William – Perthshire
This morning, depart your hotel for a tour with your private driver. Travel through Glencoe, known for the historic Campbell-McDonald massacre, and cross Rannoch Moor towards Crianlarich. Continue south to Loch Lomond, Britain’s largest inland lake, and follow its shoreline. Proceed east through the scenic Trossachs, the land of Rob Roy, before enjoying a private transfer to your resort hotel. Enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure.
Day 8 — Perthshire - Scottish Highlands - Perthshire
This morning, after breakfast, meet your private driver and guide for a tour of the Scottish Highlands. Drive north to Aberfeldy, nestled between the River Tay and Loch Tay. Board a private Land Rover for a Highland Safari, exploring rugged landscapes, crossing streams, and searching for iconic wildlife like Red Deer, Grouse, Mountain Hare, and Golden Eagles. Enjoy breathtaking off-road scenery, with opportunities for photos and even driving the Land Rover. A delicious picnic lunch will be served during the tour.
Day 9 — Perthshire - St Andrews - Perthshire
This morning, your driver will take you on an exciting excursion eastwards. Start with a tour of Glamis Castle, the Queen Mother's childhood home, located in the fruit-growing region of Strathmore. Continue south over the Sidlaw Hills, crossing the Tay Bridge into Fife. Visit St. Andrews, known for its golf heritage and historical significance. Explore the ruins of St. Andrews Cathedral and, if desired, the British Golf Museum. Return to your hotel in the evening and spend the rest of the night at leisure.
Day 10 — Perthshire - Edinburgh
This morning, following breakfast at your hotel, enjoy a private transfer to Edinburgh airport in time for your flight.
