European Christmas Markets

Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be met by a representative and privately transferred to the Rosewood Vienna. After a tour of the property, you have the rest of the day at your leisure. You can relax and adjust to the time change or step out – we have a great list of restaurants and lounges to enjoy.

Today is a full-day tour of Vienna, beginning with a visit to the Hofburg Palace. It was built in the 13th century as a medieval castle by King Ottokar II of Bohemia and is now the official residence and workplace of the president of Austria. You will also experience the magic of the Vienna Opera House and the renowned Spanish Riding School and its white Lipizzaner stallions. A stop at the famous Café Sacher Wien sets you up for a tour of St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the seat of the Archbishop of Vienna.

You are invited to join us at Schönbrunn Palace for a tour of the interiors and gardens. The palace has a history spanning 300 years, best known as the summer residence of the Habsburg rulers. After your tour, you will head over to a Christmas market to enjoy Viennese holiday traditions, including a glass of mulled wine as your wander through the kiosks.

After breakfast, you will take a thorough tour of Belvedere Palace, where you'll learn about the history and architecture of the two palaces, orangery, and stables. Your next stop is an Apple Strudel class, where you'll learn the basics of making this classic dessert and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Later, an evening of classical music awaits in the Cathedral, featuring top European musicians.

After enjoying your morning at leisure, you will walk to the nearby station and board a train for Prague. Upon arrival, enjoy a private transfer to the Mandarin Oriental and enjoy a light dinner.

In the morning, you will have the chance to explore the city on your own. We'll be there to provide any assistance you may need, of course, but feel free to simply wander and enjoy Prague's incredible architecture. A tour of the city’s most famous sites follows in the afternoon – The Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, the Astronomical Clock, and more – with your guide providing all the historical and architectural details. The evening is spent at your leisure.

After a morning of relaxing, you'll be ready to hit the Prague Christmas market. Located in the center of town, it features an abundance of handmade wares from all over the world. You will find everything from Christmas decorations, hand-crafted jewelry, unique clothing, and delicious foods.

Your day starts with a leisurely breakfast, followed by a transfer to the railway station and a train ride to Budapest. Upon arrival, you will check into the exquisite Four Seasons Hotel.

A half-day city tour of Budapest is on the agenda for today, where you will see the city’s most famous sites and soak in the atmosphere along the banks of the fabled Danube River. A visit to the Christmas market in the evening tops off another magical day.

The sightseeing continues today, this time on the other side of the river, in Pest. A concert in the evening is the perfect way to end your time in Hungary.

Today you will transfer to the airport in time for your return flight home.
