Day 1
Day 1 - Paris
Upon arrival at the Paris airport, meet your driver in time for your transfer to your hotel. Your very own local guide will welcome you to the hotel and assist with the check-in procedures to your home in Paris. An art-deco landmark itself, the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel George V is located in the Golden Triangle and is one of the city’s officially graded Palace hotels.
Day 2 - Paris
Morning: Wake up to the sight of the iconic Eiffel Tower and get ready to explore the city that needs no introduction. Visit Paris’ must-sees in the comfort of your private car with your personal English-speaking guide. The half-day excursion will cover landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysées, and the Ile de la Cité. Afternoon: Continue your Parisian journey by selecting one of two culture-rich tour options: Enjoy a private after-hours tour at the Louvre, the world’s most visited museum. Formerly the royal residence of the kings of France, the museum houses some of the world’s most esteemed masterpieces such as the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo, and features the picturesque outdoor Tuileries garden that young princes Louis XIII and Louis XV once enjoyed. Explore Montmartre, a district full of authentic charm that Parisians call ‘La Butte,’ which is French for a small hill. Walk up the distinctive winding cobbled streets to Sacré-Coeur Basilica, located at the highest point for spectacular views over the city, take a break at Place du Tertre to grab a drink at a bistro or get your portrait drawn, and wind down with a stop at Moulin Rouge, a 19-century windmill transformed into a world-famous cabaret.
Day 3 - Paris - Versailles - Paris
Morning: Travel in royal style to Versailles in your private vehicle with your English-speaking guide and feel its majestic history. Situated just west of Paris, Versailles is best recognized for its palace constructed in the 17th century for Louis XIV, the 'Sun King'. Visit the magnificent Gallery of Mirrors, take a stroll in the embellished gardens, enjoy the musical fountains show, and take in the full beauty of the Grand Canal that stretches as far as the eye can see. Afternoon: Delight your tastebuds with an unforgettable dinner experience at the top of the Arc du Triomphe. Indulge in a private dinner prepared by a Michelin-starred chef while being serenaded by an orchestra, on top of one of Paris’ most iconic sites, overlooking the city.
Day 4 - Paris - Avignon
Morning/afternoon: Check out from your hotel and get ready to immerse yourself in world-class gastronomy and culture in the Provençal city of Avignon. As well as being a cultural center and UNESCO World Heritage Site offering marvelous art galleries and the massive Palais des Papes, Avignon is also a center for gastronomy. Your driver will bring you to board a first-class TGV train to Avignon, where your local Avignon driver will meet you and escort you to check in at your hotel in Avignon, La Mirande. La Mirande is a captivating 14th-century mansion located in the city center, opposite of the Palais des Papes (Popes’ Palace), which can be viewed through the distinct antique windows from nearly every room. The luxury 5-star hotel notably features two Michelin-starred restaurants, celebrating the flavors of Provence’s bountiful produce.
Day 5 - Avignon - St-Rémy-de-Provence - Avignon
Morning: Meet your English-speaking local guide for a walking experience of the magnificent papal stronghold of Avignon. Visit Place de l’Horloge (Clock Tower Square) in the heart of Avignon before entering the grand Palais des Papes, one of the largest medieval Gothic buildings in Europe that sit next to Pont du Gard, one of the most famous bridges in the world. Afternoon: Discover Provence the Provençal way in a classic Citroen 2CV driven by a professional driver-guide. Travel to St-Rémy-de-Provence, best known as the place where Vincent van Gogh painted his masterpiece “The Starry Night” and the birthplace of Nostradamus. Explore the noteworthy ancient site of Glanum, featuring fascinating civic and religious edifices such as the two “Les Antiques” structures – the Mausoleum and the triumphal arch.
Day 6 - Avignon - Orange/Les Baux-de-Provence - Avignon
Morning: Step back in time by selecting one of two half-day tour options with your local driver-guide in your own private car: Sightsee in Orange, a historic town home to two astonishing UNESCO-listed Roman monuments: Théâtre antique d'Orange (Roman Theatre of Orange), constructed at the beginning of the Christian era, and the Arc de Triomphe, which celebrates Julius Caesar's conquest of the Gauls. Alternatively, travel to the picturesque medieval village of Les Baux-de-Provence, a 13th-century fortress hidden on a fortified rocky site in the heart of Les Alpilles. Continue your journey by visiting Carrières de Lumières (Quarries of Light), a monumental quarry that hosts an extraordinary multimedia sound and light show dedicated to Paul Gauguin and Vincent Van Gogh, Painters of Colour. Afternoon: Return back to your hotel and spend the afternoon enjoying free time, or take part in a cooking class with renowned chefs in Provence at Le Marmiton’s old kitchen from the middle of the 19th century. Learn the art of Provençal cooking classic French cuisine, prepare your own lunch under the supervision of a master chef and enjoy your meal with other novice cooks.
Day 7 - Avignon - Aix-en-Provence - French Riviera
Morning: Check out of your hotel and hop in your private vehicle with your driver-guide for your voyage to Cote d’Azur (the French Riviera). Take a stop in the noble city of Aix-en-Provence, the birthplace of post-Impressionist painter Paul Cézanne, for a 2-hour walking tour. Stroll through the bustling Cours Mirabeau, one of the most popular and lively places in the town, see the many fountains Aix is known for and visit Cézanne's studio, where some of his most well-known works were painted. Afternoon: Check in at Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat, a Four Seasons Hotel, a luxury hotel opened in 1908 set atop over 17 acres of Mediterranean gardens that overlook the sea.
Day 8 - French Riviera
Morning/afternoon: Take the day to enjoy the glamorous hotel facilities, once visited by international luminaries such as Elizabeth Taylor and Winston Churchill. Take a dip in the Club Dauphin pool, one of the world’s most beautiful swimming pools, indulge in a self-care day at the award-winning Le Spa, or treat your senses to an extraordinary meal by a Michelin-starred chef at Le Cap (with of course a grand cru from the region). If you’re looking to spend the day sightseeing, you can explore the Côte d’Azur with your driver and guide at your disposal. Consider visiting the principality of Monaco and its capital, Monte Carlo, for a day of pure luxury and awe-inspiring views. Catch sight of the top superyachts from Monaco-Ville (Old Town), which is perched on the famous Rocher de Monaco (Rock of Monaco) overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and Port Hercules. Here, you’ll find the Prince’s Palace of Monaco built in 1215, the Cathedral of St. Nicholas, where members of the Grimaldi family rest, including one of the world’s most famous Princesses, Grace Kelly, and the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, an exceptional aquarium, museum of marine sciences and architectural masterpiece with a façade that rises to a height of 279 feet above the sea. Finally, end your tour by exploring the heart of the principality, including the lavish Monte Carlo Casino. Should you choose to stay near Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, consider visiting the exquisite Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, designed by French architect Aaron Messiah and built by Baroness Béatrice de Rothschild, and Villa Kerylos, an extraordinary reconstruction of a Greek house filled with the collections of French archeologist Théodore Reinach.
Day 9 - French Riviera
